Taylor made seven appearances in his second season. When Taylor took Joe Flacco’s place in their Week 17 matchup, he saw the highest playing time of his career. His passing total was 149 yards with one interception. In a losing effort, he did rush for his first score of the season. Later that season, after the Ravens defeated the 49ers in San Francisco, Taylor was awarded a Super Bowl ring.
